Nairobi will sparkle again as the city in the sun under my leadership-Ngatia.

Nairobi, Friday 8th April, 2022:

Nairobi Gubernatorial front runner the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) president Richard Ngatia has promised to turn around Nairobi to a smart city in his first term as governor.
Speaking today during the Capital FM Morning show, Ngatia said that he has divided the first five years of his term between 2022 to 2027 into segments which will see his administration achieve particular goals at every step. This will culminate to a hundred percent turn around into a fully blown smart city by 2027.

“I look at the first three years of my term as governor and I believe we will be able to have tourists flock to the city. We can make our Maasai Market and Kariokor markets tourist attractions as well as great business hubs in three years,” Ngatia said.

“We also need to rehabilitate our dams and that way we will have marine life which is a good touristattraction. Nairobi commands 60 percent of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) and as such we need to adopt a digital economy to be at par with other global capitals,” he said.

Ngatia said that Nairobi was at par with Singapore and better than Dubai but has now deteriorated and urgent steps need to be taken to reclaim the lost glory of the city.

To go back to the old golden days, we must have a proper security system. This must start with end to end CCTV coverage as well as proper lighting to ensure that we have a secure city that people feel comfortable to work and invest in,” Ngatia said.
Ngatia said that he has planned to hold a mega rally at his Kangemi back yard this coming Sunday from where he will embark of a tour of the city to sell the transformative agenda
.

“I will hold a mega rally at Kangemi where I was born and raised this Sunday. After I get the blessings from home, we shall nowgo round Nairobi preaching transformation because we are tired of what is happening in Nairobi. We must have change that will see the city have a final transformation into a smart city,” Ngatia noted.
