MPs allied to DP Ruto accuse ODM and top security officers of rigging Msambweni by-election
Members of Parliament allied to Deputy President William Ruto have accused the government of transferring top security officers in Msambweni, they are also accusing the police of allowing ODM politicians and goons of freely rigging Omar Boga an ODM candidate vying for the Msambweni Parliamentary Seat.
There was violence in parts of Msambweni as goons allied to the Mombasa Governor attacked the Lunga Lunga MP Hon Mwashetani , in a video circulating on social media the MP is seen running helter skelter from goons trying to attack him.
In a presser the MP alleged that Governor Ali Hassan Joho sent a team of goons armed with AK 47s to intimidate him. Flanked by Hon. Sudi, Hon Jicho Pevu, Nominated Senator Omanga and Hon Ichung’wa the MP bitterly decried the levels of bribing and intimidation meted on them around polling stations as they try to safeguard votes for Feisal Bader a candidate sponsored by Deputy President William Ruto.
In the presser the MP’s have alleged that ODM is been backed by state operatives and that voters allied to Feisal Badir have been blocked from voting.
The MPs urged the IG Kenya Police Service to be impartial and protect team Tanga Tanga from harassment from ODM goons and policemen backing the ODM candidate.
