Tanga Tanga Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua arrested by DCI, MP under investigation over 12 Billion money laundering

Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers on Monday arrested Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua over corruption.

He was then taken to Kiambu Road headquarters for questioning.

His arrest comes as police investigate 22 firms linked to him, which were used to transact multibillion-shilling tenders in various counties. 

He is also under investigation by the Asset Recovery Agency (ARA), which wants to know the source of the Sh12.5 billion that passed through his accounts.
