Reprieve for Sen Malala as Registrar of political parties throw away Anc’s expulsion bid

Kakamega senator Hon Malala can breath a sigh of relief after the registrar of political parties turned a down the request by Anc party to have Malala’s name expunged from the party’s roll.

Last Month, the party’s NGC met and ratified the decision to kick Malala out for gross misconduct and disrespecting the party leadership.

This move however drew mixed reactions from Anc’s backyard with some hailing the party for finally cracking the whip while others condemned it for its high-handedness.

The action by RPP of not expunging Malala’s name from the party list will further dent the partys image by portraying it as inefficient in its execution.

“Nec had novmandate meeting to expell Malala way beyond its period of stay in office. We all know Nec’s term of office ended on 15th June, how then could they meet to expell Malala way after their term of office had ended?” a member who did not wish to be named for fear of being seen as anti establishment said.

It has further been established that the registrar relied on the term of nec having ended way before the expulsion to throw away the request. This then means that the NGC that expelled Malala was unprocedurally constituted hence ill equiped to transact business rendering the expulsion as null and void.
