Bungoma MCA’s in a near fist fight over house leadership as Florence Wekesa survive impeachment

HON Grace Sundukwa the Sitiko ward Mca saved the situation as women mcas almost went physical on each other. In a video that has since gone viral, the distiguished Mca (Grace Sundukwa in green) is seen separating enraged mcas.

The enraged members are heard shouting what is it with Odm?
“Odm ina nini? ODM NI K*** YA MAMAKO ” one woman mca is overheard using such an obscene language.
Those supporting the motion and those against it engaged in near fist fights, insults while noise rented the air the assembly was turned into war ground.

A majority of MCAs had signed to impeach the leader of Majority Florence Wekesa in what they termed has failing in her duties and at the same time colluding with the executive.

Already 36 MCAs had appended their signatures to have Hon Wekesa the Maeni ward Mca kicked out while 11 MCAs were supporting her.

The Mcas also accused the assembly speaker Hon Emmanuel Situma of colluding with the executive in utter disregard of his re as speaker.

The members had convened to extend the recess and they also wanted to table the motion to kick out the majority leader but the speaker was a protective and siding with the minority members who were
supporting the majority leader. Majority Ford Kenya, ODM and a section of independent members are supporting the removal of Hon Wekesa as majority leader.

“This is total witch hunt, those fighting and want me out feel that I have been an obstacle for them to achieve their selfish interests, am still the leader of majority at the moment and I will serve Ford Kenya well and ensure that the party grows,” the embatttled majority leader said.
On the other hand Hon Nyongesa had this to say

“She has failed us, we have collected enough signatures and will be impeached through hook or crook, we can’t pretend to help
Mwananchi yet we are colluding with the executive and failing in our oversight roles,” said Nyongesa.

Similar sentiments were echoed by Hon Musebe of Fk.
MCAS had proposed Tuuti/Marakaru ward MCA Hon Joseph Juma Nyongesa to take over as the majority leader replacing Mrs.Wekesa
