“I call upon all our supporters in Jubilee party and Azimio La Umoja-OKA to rally behind our candidate as they carry the best aspirations for our City, ” Kananu said.

” I had elaborate plans to develop the county of Nairobi as Governor but I have taken the decision of our party and I will support our party candidate in their bid to bring a revolution in our county. It was never about me but us as a county,” she said.
On his part, Igathe said he looked forward to working with Kananu in improving the lives of the people of Nairobi. “As the Governor has said, it is not about an individual but about the millions of the people of Nairobi,” Igathe said.

“I will work with every like minded person in our Azimio wing to ensure we bring the desired development in our county,” he added
.

Igathe called upon all party candidates who failed to clinch the ticket to fly the party flag to join hands with the winners in solving the problems of the residents.

“To all aspirants who did not clinch tickets, this is the time to demonstrate that you really wanted to serve the people. The governor’s seat does not belong to an individual but is a big institution. We must all come together to deliver to the residents whether you won or lost, we are all winners and we should come together,” Igathe said
Igathe said that the office of the governor is one of every Nairobian and no aspirant should feel a child of a lesser God for loosing out on the primaries.

The gubernatorial candidate said that next week, Azimio la Umoja constituent parties will start holding meetings of all candidates and all aspirants who never clinched tickets to ensure the journey towards the August polls begin on the right footing.
