Mudavadi Mourns his political ally & Kakamega Mca Hon Albert Wetundu

Anc party has lost one of its founder members and a long time Mudavadi ally from Kakamega county Hon Albert Wetundu former Mca Shirumba/Mungai ward.

“Iam saddened by the demise of my political ally and long time friend and Kakamega county Mca Hon Albert Wetundu. He has definately left an idelible mark. Fare thee well” Hon Mudavadi wrote.

The long serving Mca Hon Wetundu was first elected into county assembly then county council of Kakamega i. 2002. He served an uninterupted 4terms only losing in 2017. Despite the loss, Hon Wetundu remained active in politics and was untill his demise a Nec member of the Anc party.

Hon Wetundu will be remembered for statements like~
~If Mudavadi has 1million supporters, then I am one of them, and if he has one supporter then it is me and God forbid if Mudavadi has no supporters, then Iam dead.

Hon Wetundu used to say.

Hon Wetundu never shied from telling off those who used to oppose Mudavadi both real and imagined.

One time when he was asked what it meant to be out in the cold after 2017, Wetundu laughed it off and said God was preparing him to be a gardener at state house when Mudavadi finally becomes president.

The body of the Late Hon. Albert Wetundu left Kakamega County Hospital Mortuary at 4pm on 2/5/2029 to his rural home in Mafumbo village Shurugu- Mugai ward.

His burial will take place tomorrow morning.

Malava Constituency MP Hon Malulu Injendi led fellow politicians in escorting the body home, Former Senator Bonny Khalwale, Kakamega County MCAs led by Minority Leader Hon. David Ndakwa, Kakamega Branch ANC Party Officials, supporters, the youth league and other mourners, among those in the entourage from Kakamega town to Shirugu village.
