Former Majority leader Hon. Guyo Rescues a mother of 7 and waives rent for his tenants for 90 days.
Nairobi county Jubilee Mca Hon Abdi Ibrahim Guyo yesterday rescued a single mother of seven from possible starvation and homelessness.
The flamboyant straight talking Mca who many say is tough and never shy when it comes to speaking his mind is well remembered for picking a fight with both Sonko and Nairobi county speaker Hon Elachi.
Behind the tough talking former Nairobi county majority leader, there is a heart of compassion always ready to help people.
The second term Mca received a distress call from a friend who bumped into this agonising family.
As soon as he got the news of how Miss Elizabeth Akinyi and her 7kids were struggling, Hon Guyo immidiately drove there and ensured the family’s immidiate need for food was provided.
“Iam so grateful for Hon Guyo, i dont know how he heard of my plight but he really came on time. I lost my job and have been surviving on casual labor but covid 19 has made things worse. I have sold most of my household just to provide food for my family. Iam appealing for well wishers to help me get a job. To Mheshimiwa Guyo, i dont know how to thank you. May God bless you and one day you will be president of this country” Miss Akinyi said.
Hon Guyo a city businessman with vast interests in real estate, has also waived rent for 3month to all his tenants. Also his employees are on a paid leave in a bid to help them stay home and minimise spread of covid 19.
“I want to urge fellow Kenyans to be a brothers keeper even as we fight this corona virus pandemic. Let us all observe the regulations as given to us by health practitioners. I know we shall overcome” Hon Guyo added
