We didn’t create Corona virus: Foreigners and Kenyans in quarantine tell Cs Mutahi Kagwe!
It’s now emerging that the people held in Kenyan quarantine facilities are planning to protest against the extended 14 days in the quarantine. Some are saying, the government should not treat them like, it’s their fault or their desire to be counted as victims of corona virus.
They say, they have used all the money they had and staying for another 14 days in the government facilities without money, the government must now provide them with food otherwise they will starve.
Extension order was issued on Saturday, April 4, by Director General for Health Patrick Amoth who observed that some of them had come into contact with some of the people who had tested positive, so it will require them another 14 days before the government is certified that they are free to mingle with the general population.
But on their part, they have blamed the government for not being serious and careful with their status. They said that, inside the quarantine facilities, there is no privacy, so mingling has been the order of the day. How do you reduce the risk when you’re even sharing washrooms?
