Starehe Aspirant Amos Mwago was March 18 booed by a section of Nairobi residents as he tried to sell his agenda.
The aspirant , who is vying for mp starehe Constituency on a Jubilee ticket, was booed on Friday during the Azimio Starehe campaign trail in Nairobi county, which was headed by nominated Mp Maina Kamanda , Embakasi East Constituency Mp Babu Owino and Makadara Mp George Aladwa.
The aspirant who had defected from UDA received an unpleasant awakening at several stopovers, most notably in Marikiti , Muthurwa and Gikomba, where villagers shouted him down.
Amos Mwago , who was escorted to the stage to address a gathering in Marikiti market, encountered strong opposition from a portion of the crowd, which resoundingly demonstrated motions refuting his bid.
The aspirant was obliged to rush through his remarks in the face of pro-John Mugo shouts.
“Mimi sitasema maneno mengi… Raila the fifth ” Amos Mwago said.
Amos Mwago, who is vying for a seat on a Jubilee ticket after decamping from UDA had a field day, as his address was generally not well-received by the crowd.
Efforts by Maina Kamanda , Babu Owino and Aladwa to calm the crowd bore no fruits until John Mugo the jubilee Azimio sole candidate for Starehe Constituency was given the 🎤.
Mwago’s heckling comes barely after defecting from UDA where he used to insult the president Uhuru Kenyatta and his handshake partner Raila Amollo Odinga.
Sources say he might be a mole from UDA sent to disrupt the Jubilee Nominations.
The Jubilee National Election Board chaired by Kanini Kega has not yet cleared Amos Mwago.
