Democratic Alliance Party (DNA)  announces it’s arrival on the political scene  in pomp and color

Pomp and color and fiery political statements ushered in Democratic Alliance party as it rebranded from Umoja Summit party.

At exactly 11:57 Am, Hon Godfrey Kanoti a close ally of Musalia Mudavadi led his NEC members comprising of Secretary General Dr Barack Muluka, Chairman Walter Mong’are and DSG Naumi Sidi among others and invited guests  to the auditorium at the Diamond Plaza in Parklands for the National Governing Convention meeting.

Key on the agenda was the rebranding of the party from Umoja Summit Party to D.NA.

Speaking during the historic occasion, Madam Naumi Sidi founder of Umoja Summit Party and now the deputy Secretary General underscored the importance of changing from USP to DNA.

” We have elected to rebrand from Umoja Summit Party  to Democratic National Alliance purposely to make ourselves attractive to the changing political climate. As DNA, we want to change the DNA of politics of this country and give the youths a voice and a platform to engage in the governance of this great nation. I call upon all Kenyans to join us in forging ahead as we shape our nation.” Sidi said.

End to transactional politics.

Hon Godfrey Kanoti the DNAs party leader sent the delegates in frenzy when he declared that DNA was stepping forth to put an end to transactional politics  where leaders have been suppressing the voices of the masses for material gain.

“We are calling upon all Kenyans to join us in changing the DNA of this country’s politics. We cannot seat pretty as our children are abducted and killed, we cannot seat pretty watching our agricultural sector go down the drain, the economy is in shambles, even those tasked with streamlining our education sector are clueless. Our cabinet is not only inept but blind and deaf to the needs of our nation. The only way out left for us is to embrace DNA where your voice is your power” said Kanoti.

The fire spitting party leader hinted out at working with other like minded parties with a view of forming a coalition that will redeem the lost glory of our nation.

“DNA is prepared and ready to field candidates in all the elective positions in Kenya starting with the by elections that are have been necessitated by death, however should we find a political outfit with the same aspirations as ours, we shall not hesitate in joining hands for the betterment of Kenya “added Kanoti.

Kenyans you are on your own~DNA Party leader Kanoti

While blaming the government for abandoning Kenyans, Kanoti pointed out the eneficiency of SHA/SHIF and blamed the government for subjecting Kenyans to untold suffering.

“SHA is a scam, a conduit to milk Kenyans as a few individuals get rich. There is no way an official of SHA can run a parallel Hospital in Nairobi West and then you expect fairness. Kenyatta Hospital the largest referral center demands for cash before scans are done yet we are saying SHA is working. We call upon Kenyans to speak boldly against these ills visited on Kenyans. High taxations, abductions and extra judicial killings must end. DNA is here to give you a platform to speak because we believe your voice is your power. The moment you stop speaking that will spell doom for this nation” Kanoti

Welcome to the people's loyal opposition ~Kalonzo.

Former vice president Dr Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka moved the gathering when he welcomed DNA to what he called the people’s loyal opposition.

While commending Kanoti for the initiative to join in seeking accountability and proper governance, Mr Musyoka urged DNA to remain true to the call and not falter in the quest for accountability.

“We in opposition have remained loyal to the calling and we shall remain so untill we replicate the 2002 wave that swept KANU out of power. Raila is my brother but since he chose to join the government, we collapsed Azimio. That entity is now as dead as a dodo thanks to ODM however with DNA coming onboard, we shall keep pushing untill Kenya changes” Musyoka.

Jubilee party congratulates DNA.

Led by it’s national secretary general Hon Jeremiah Kioni, the Jubilee party was not left behind in congratulating DNA for their bold move.

Hon Kioni lamented the governments inability to release capitation funds thus causing untold suffering to learners.

“This government has lost it,  our schools are yet to receive capitation funds, our soldiers in the barracks have no food.abductions and extra judicial killings are the order of the day, we must end it by speaking up and DNA is offering that platform with the clarion call, Your voice your power’ Kioni.

Other leaders who spoke during the occasion include The Justice party of Kenya leader Reuben  Kigame, Hon Omingo Magara, Hon Arnold Maliba who also challenged the youth to register in large numbers to bring the much needed change in Kenya.
