Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho says Mombasa County Goverment ready to handle coronavirus launches facility

On Monday Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho visited The Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital Isolation Facility to assess the level of preparedness in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The facility also houses an Intensive Care Unit. Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho added that his government has also identified additional facilities to be utilized for the same purpose at Tudor and Mvita incase extra capacity is required.

24 County doctors have already been fully trained on handling the pandemic.

He further said that more doctors both in the private and public sector will be trained to handle the coronavirus pandemic in order to enhance capacity.
