Donald Trump is under intense pressure from the public to go and take a coronavirus test because last weekend he made contact with aide to Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, Fabio Wajngarten, who later turned up positive.
Whether he will take the test or not it has become a matter of public concern and speculation because two more people who were in that entourage have tested positive.
But his physician in a white house memo, has said that the president doesn’t need to take the test because he kept distance and he had made no direct contact with them at his Mar-a-lago resort .
He termed the contact ” low risk ” But Donald Trump has said he will take the test anyway even though he has not exhibited any symptoms of the virus.
These comes in the wake of public outcry where many Americans are saying that, President Trump has not given this issue enough attention it deserves.
During the briefing, media, NBC’s Kristen Welker asked Trump whether he took responsibility for the testing lag, which one member of his own task force called “a failing.” Trump blamed Obama when he said,
“No, I don’t take responsibility at all. Because we were given a — a set of circumstances, and we were given rules, regulations and specifications from a different time. It wasn’t meant for this kind of — an event with the kind of numbers that we’re talking about,” Trump responded.
