Western Kenya Azimio allied MPs back Upper Savanna MCA Stazo for majority leader’s post in Nairobi county assembly.

As county assemblies get ready for business next week, political parties across board have intensified lobying for varies positions in assemblies. One such outfit is Azimio party.

after the bid to have either Makadara Mp Hon Aladwa or Westlands MP Hon Wanyonyi fly the Azimio gubernatorial flag in Naurobi failed, focus has now switched to the position of majority leader in the Nairobi county assembly.

Western Kenya Members of National Assembly allied to the Azimio coalition including Hon. Nabii Nabwera Lugari,Hon Tindi Mwale Butere,Hon. Naika Mumias west,Hon. Shinali Ikolomani, and Hon. Salasya Mumias east have thrown their weight weight behind Flamboyant Upper Savannah Ward MCA Hon Stazo Omung’ala Angila to take over the mantle of the Leader of Majority in the County Assembly of Nairobi.

Khwisero MP Aseka Miradi , Makadara’s George Aladwa with Upper Savanna Mca Stazo.

Led by Khwisero MP Hon. Aseka Miradi who was speaking at Mulwanda Market on his way to Mutswitswi, they echoed sentiments from a section of Nairobi Leaders who urged the Incoming President Raila the Fifth to consider Stazo as the Majority Leader.

“We sacrificed our sons Hon. Aladwa and Hon. Tim Wanyonyi who had showed interest of being the Governors of Nairobi for the sake of togetherness and in the spirit of Handshake in favor of Igathe but unfortunately he didn’t make it. It’s on this note that i beg my Party Leader and the 5th President to reward our younger brother Stazo as the Majority Leader for equal representation at the hierarchy of Nairobi leadership. Stazo is a young leader who has never gone astray and always stand with Baba. As a senior Luhya leader,I endorse him for that seat” said Aseka.

This comes up barely a day after Nairobi Azimio leaders and opinion leaders under Elder Vincent Shimoli also threw their weight behind Stazo.

Hon Stazo loyal as ever with party boss Raila Odinga.

The speakers position has attracted former deputy speaker Ken Ng’ondi and ODM’s legal affairs secretary Mr Moturi. Jubilee party too has fronted Rachel Shebesh and John Kamangu for the speakers position.
