Nairobi Gubernatorial front runner the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) president Richard Ngatia has said that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is the best bet for President for the business sector in Nairobi.
According to Ngatia, a Raila Odinga Presidency will create a conducive environment and allow businesses the opportunity to thrive.
Speaking today, during a morning breakfast radio show in a popular Radio Africa owned vernacular station Gukena FM, Ngatia said that the peace that was attained following the March 9th 2018 handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and the ODM leader Raila Odinga was evidence that Raila has the will and power to create a calm business environment.
“As people in the leadership of business in Kenya, we have looked at the people contesting for the Presidency to see who has the best interest to create a conducive environment for the development of businesses,” Ngatia said.
“I am a Jubilee party life member and I fully support the party’s choice of the Azimio La Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga as the fifth President of Kenya. Raila is a businessman of good standing and a renowned engineer. He has been in business for a very long time and he understands the business environment,” he said.
Ngatia said that Raila has a large following of the small and medium sized enterprises as well as large multinationals due to his business acumen noting that time to bring business minded leaders into politics has come.
“It is the handshake in 2018 that returned business back to its feet following the statesmanship of Raila Odinga and as businessmen, we have confidence that Raila will be the best man to propel businesses to great heights,” Ngatia noted.
