Hon Godfrey Osotsi an aspiring senator for Vihiga county this year and one of the newest members of ODM/Azimio chapter has reiterated the region’s resolve to rally behind ODM’s candidate Raila Amollo Odinga.
Speaking today in Lugari during the burial of Nabii Nabwera’s mother an event also attended by his new party boss Raila Odinga. Hon Osotsi stated that the Azimio movement and Raila’s quest for presidency was unstoppable.
Osotsi further stated that he decamped from ANC a party that sponsored him to parliament on 4th December 2021 and will henceforth transact his politics under the Orange Democratic Movement.
“First of all I want to remind all and sundry that I ditched ANC on 4th of December 2021 in my home county of Vihiga at a place called Kidundu stadium. What we all witnessed on 31st at Bukhungu was just the official reception into the ODM family by Baba himself but what a better way to be received than in Bukhungu stadium the epicenter of Mulembe politics?”. Said the legislator.
Asked if the mass exodus from. ANC to ODM has left the party weaker, the Mp said..
“It is true that many politicians have ditched ANC thus weakening it as we head to 2022 August polls. Over the weekend we all saw over 20 MCAs both sitting and aspiring decamp from ANC. This is a clear indication of where our people want us to be. The way out for our political abbys is through Azimio” added the MP.
On his thoughts about other presidential aspirants ahould visit western for votes hunting the fiery legislator said..
“We cannot curtail other peoples freedom of movement in their efforts to look for votes. Other aspirants like DP Ruto are free to come and sell their agenda but they should do so knowing well that Western region is solidly behind Azimio la Umoja. Our people are wiser and cannot afford another term in opposition” added Hon Osotsi.
Today marks the third visit of Raila Odinga in Kakamega county in a span of 7 days after spending Dec 26th at Atwolis home in Khwisero and Azimio convention 2 at Bukhungu. Raila and his ODM brigade are attending the burial of a mother to ODM’s Nabii Nabwera in Lugari
