Raila is our candidate for 2022 Luhya leaders declare as Raila says has interests of the Luhya people at heart

ODM party leader Raila Odinga has refuted claims that he neglected the Western region on matters development after his handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta.


Speaking during the funeral of Margaret Nandalwe, mother to Moses Nandwale a Bungoma politician and personal assistant of Tana River Governor Dhadho Godhana, Mr. Odinga insisted that the developmental records in Nyanza region are worthwhile since independence.

Raila stated that the handshake accord did not take NASA to government, but rather served to bury political hatchets that had been witnessed during past General Elections.

The former premier also insisted that he is on course to bringing about the third economic liberation, adding that he is not looking for followers but rather partners to assist him in the course.

Governor Godhana, on his part, backed up Mr. Odinga’s agenda of presidency come 2022 saying all Coastal leaders are behind him.

Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya alson backed up Mr. Odinga’s candidature saying it is time to revive the ailing sugar industries in Western Kenya.

COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli castigated the Luhya unity agenda saying come December 31 this year, a huge announcement will be made on the matter at Bukhungu stadium.
