The MPs allied to Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka have put the former vice president under a hard rock and soft rock. The MPs who read the statement at the Parliament building told Kalonzo he will be on his own if he supports Raila for a third time.
This talk comes in the wake of the disbanded BBI dream. Without BBI, the leading presidential candidates have no option but to run for the presidency. This includes Musalia Mudavadi, Raila Odinga, and Gideon Moi.
The community that follows these leaders has put them under immense pressure to run for office. Another notable variable that is forcing these leaders to be on the ballot is the question of the AGE factor.
Raila Odinga will be 77 years old by 2022.
Kalonzo Musyoka will be 68 years old by 2022
Musalia Mudavadi will be 61 years old by 2022
Gideon Mois will be 58 years old by 2022
William Ruto will be 55 years old by 2022.
When you look at these leaders and their ages, it will be impossible for Kalonzo or Mudavadi to Back Raila Odinga for the presidency. There is no trust in politics and there is no trust that if you back Raila Odinga, he will be a one-term president.
Politics in Kenya is full of lies and deceit, so it will be each leader for his own and God for all of us. Just as Kalonzo is receiving heat from his backyard, Mudavadi is equally feeling the heat from his back yard, he has been told to go for the big seat failure to do so, will cause a big disappointment in his support base and to himself.
If all of them will be on the ballot, the question of a running mate will stress them out because coalition building is becoming futile as evidenced by the NASA dissolution or Jubilee squabbles. Many factors are coming into play suggesting that once the leader ascends to power, he either trashes the MOU or just ignores the agreement he swore to follow. So no matter what happens, each one for himself and God for all of us.
