The political temperatures are at all time high in Vihiga constituency where current Mp Kagesi is under pressure from career diplomat Balozi Ken Vitisia.
The entrance of Amb Ken Vitisia has sent shock waves especially in the incumbent MP’s camp to an extent that he has employed unorthodox tactics in a desperate attempt of curtailing Vitisia’s popularity.
Kagesi’s Blogger arrested and locked up at Mbale police station over false publication on Amb Vitisia
On 31st August during the burial of Hon Swadi’s wife in Shiru where the party leader Hon Mudavadi also attended a blogger one Allan Gumbihi Sindani alias Mkombozi published and circulated falsehoods to the effect that Ambassador Vitisia was heckled and chased during the event.
In accordance with with the 2015 cyber crime laws enacted by the national assembly, any publication that boarders on hate speech, slander or otherwise may land one into prison.
Pursuant to this, one Mkombozi the publisher of four four one digital media outlet was arrested and locked up at Mbale police station overnight. The blogger was only saved by Hon Kagesi who bailed him out by paying for him. The blogger has been instructed to be reporting to Vihiga police station twice per week for the next three months.
Ambassador Vitisia to square it out with Kagesi for ANC ticket in Vihiga
Mr Ken Vitisia a career diplomat has thrown his hut in the ring. His entrance in the race has thrown spanner in the works and sent Kagesi’s camp into dissaray.
Mr Vitisia is a shrewd mobilizer and has utilised his diplomatic experience very well.
Having studied the political demography of Vihiga, Mr Vitisia has traversed the vast constituency selling his manifesto.
“We appreciate very much everything that Amb Vitisia has been doing for us, he has empowered Women groups, youths groups and we are ready to usher him into constituency leadership in 2022” a supporter told us.
His huge following and his closeness to ANC party boss makes him the most favoured aspirant to clinch the party ticket.
“Ambassador Vitisia is in ANC to stay, those spreading propaganda that our incoming MP is in UDA are hate mongers who should be ignored.Amb Vitisia is in ANC and will clinch the Vihiga seat” another supporter said.
