DP William Ruto plans Nyeri roadside rallies to counter Raila Odinga Mt. Kenya climbing narrative.
DP William Ruto is heading to Nyeri to sell his bottoms UP economy model and cleanse the ground stepped on by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Raila Odinga has recently been climbing the mountain with support from Mt.Kenya businessmen and tycoons. The former Prime Minister got backing from 4 governors and even endorsed him for 2022 presidency.
Although Raila had successful road side rallies with sizeable crowds, a good number of Kikuyu MP’s kept off the tour. Most MP’s from the region who had backed Raila Odinga have in recent times disassociated themselves from him.
The former Prime Minister “climbing Mt.Kenya Tour” had backing from Kieni MP Hon Kanini Kega and Muranga Women Rep Sabina Chege.
A few weeks ago Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru refuted claims that she was supporting a Raila Odinga presidency.
Kiambu MP Hon. Gathoni Wamuchomba Roberts was scathing in her statement posted on her facebook account, on Mt Kenya Foundation endorsing Raila, she said. “You have finally declared it’s Raila for president. Unfortunately, you are apolitical hence, you do not represent the views of the people from Mt Kenya region. So statements like “our people” are inappropriate in such committments.Today, you promised someone our votes including mine? Noooo……. Since you claim to speak for “US”Did you speak for the small traders in Githurai and Kahawa West when they LOST LIVES and properties to demolishers? Did you speak when our people in Laikipia were sleeping in the cold and their animals stolen by rustlers? So you only speak when brokering power? You can afford to spend over 2 million shillings to plan a billionares club forum to promise someone “our ” votes yet you could not send a truck of foods and clothes to our Laikipia Kinsmen. Interestingly, someone was on Ziesta all through….He was too bored to keep awake PWAAAH! I think he knew they were lying to him. Just as the Media Guru recently and openly shared in Gatanga…..so he dozed off!As for me, a tinga presidency is a force down a throat of an already constipated belly! Am Not boarding!”.
DP William Ruto who has a backing of 40 Kikuyu MP’s is said to have gotten worried on how the region easily marveled towards Raila Odinga messaging. The DP strategist and inner circle are planning a mother of all rallies to send a statement that he is the man to beat in Central.

The planning is already underway with Hon. Gachagua Rigathi MP Mathira heading logistic and mobilizing crowds. The Deputy President is said to have a budget of over 50 million for this innitiative.
