LSK president Nelson Havi to challenge Hon Tim Wanyonyi for Westlands seat in 2022.

The Lsk president Mr Nelson Havi could be plunging into politics and his eyes are fixed on the westlands constituency seat currently held by Odm’s Tim Wanyonyi.

Mr Havi has shown the clearest indication by attending several events in Westlands for the past few months.

over the weekend, the maverick Lsk president attended two church services in the area.

Mr Havi took to his twitter handle and wrote,.

A Sunday well spent with spiritual nourishment and fellowship at Friends Church Kabete and Pentecostal Assemblies of God Muthangari, all in Westlands Constituency, Nairobi County.

Westlands constituency is considered Odm’s stronghold and the entry of Havi could tilt the political set up of the area. Hon Tim Wanyonyi has been battling it out with Amin Walji the son of a former Mp. Walji ran on UDF in 2013 but in 2017 crossed over to ANC under Mudavadi and almost gave Wanyonyi a run for his money. Should Havi choose to run on ANC, then Wanyonyi should brace himself up for a bruising battle from the fearless Havi.

The luhya politics may as well play a role in the constituency considering that both Havi and Wanyonyi come from the two most populous luhya sub clans with Havi being a maragoli and Wanyonyi a bukusu.

Oft we cry as the Psalmist did at Psalms 22:1, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?” Pastor Walter Obindi implores us at Friends Church Kabete to trust the King of Kings, even when He seems silent.
