ANC Party announces dates for Branch elections

Amani National Congress party’s election board has set up plans in place that will see the party hold party branch elections soon.

According to a circular by the party’s election board chairman Mr. Salim Busaidy, the party has established a mechanism that will see the process kick off albeit virtually.

The elections board hereby notifies all ANC stakeholders that it is in the process of establishing branch elections coordinating panels in all the branches.

This notice by the Election board chairman has eased growing tension in the party. Two weeks ago, Uasin Gishu party members had called upon the party to call branch elections to help the party as it moves towards the 2022 general elections.

Reacting to the announcement, ANC youth leader who is also eyeing the Chavakali Ward seat in 2022 Clarice Imali said that it was about time the party moved with speed to fill all the party structures as we march into 2022.

I wish to urge all interested members to take advantage and vie for positions in the party. It is about time we stopped lamenting day in day out and instead harness all our energies in positioning our party ANC as the ideal vehicle of choice for all who are looking forward to actively taking part in the forthcoming elections.
