Picture this, heavy rains being experienced across the nation yet Nairobi taps remain dry. Covid 19 pandemic hitting us mercilessly as health officials tell us to wash our hands with running water yet taps remain dry.
All the water seem to have run downstream to go cause havoc in Budalangi , Nyando and Tana river.One such area badly hit is Nairobi’s upper Savanna Ward of Embakasi East constituency.
Area Mca Hon Stazo Omung’ala took it upon himself to supply water to his people.
” Water pipes have been washed away by flash floods which has rendered most parts of the city to go without water. As area leader I chose to try and have some remedial measures to enable my people atleast have water to wash hands regularly as we fight covid 19″ Hon Stazo Said.
The area Mca has a team of young men who have volunteered to work upto the wee hours of the night suplying the precious commodity.
"However tired a rat maybe, it cannot rest on a cat's bed" Hon Stazo said when we asked him where he gets the energy to supply water for over 14hrs everyday.“We are human and at times we get very tired but we derive our motivation from the happy smiles we see from faces of families after we have delivered to them water but again someone has to do this job and we have to do it” Stazo added.
Residents are all praise as they get water. Those certisfied share contacts of the water rescue team and whenever Stazo get the call to deliver free water, he commands his team in action with himself leading the pack.

Hon Stazo has utilized social media so well that he creates time to respo.nd to his peoples needs.
