Rather be water in Mudavadi’s backyard or be stones in Raila’s backyard, which way Mulembe Nation?
Water logic wins all the time unlike rock logic.
Raila’s old rock logic on politics and especially on Luhya people should come to an end and must end sooner than later.
What has the people of Mulembe as stones not done, given, built provided or not created for Raila’s incomplete and insufficient journey to state house.
Raila’s unsatisfied journey in the house of Mulembe, has become a story of a man who never valued what he had until lost it. Raila had Mulembe nation but never valued their input in his politics. He has changed them like builders stones, if this doesn’t fit the mason’s ruler and measure, replace it.
History of ungrateful politicians is a story of such people, people who never valued their hair, or their little finger but once they lost it, that’s when they say, I wish I had it, they remember value when it’s gone, when it has actually been shaved off, by a ruthless barber or chopped off by a ruthless working machine.
Raila’s rock logic on politics has not transformed talent and skills into new expressions or created an environment where, political talent can be groomed, nartured, or improved or give feet to move, walk, expand or fly. Within Raila’s backyard, you must remain the stone that can be used or misused.
Raila’s rock logic on politics has converted many minds into stones in his backyard. Sleeping stones, breathless stones. These stones cannot think or move, unless they are in an inclined position but that depends on the pull of gravity. Orengo has been one of the stones, how far has he moved? You know, the habits and nature of these stones, they do not move on their own, unless they are pushed, moved, or thrown from their still position.
Looking at men and women who refused to be stones in Raila’s backyard, their political career flourished, their view of politics improved. Their talents and skills on political landscape shined bright or continues to shine.
Those who have remained in the backyard, their story is a story of struggle, a story of political hiccups. You politically breath at the mercy of Raila. Move at his pace and speed.
Your are supposed to remain silent and loyal because you will be used when your time is right, and if you make noise, you will be thrown out for walking out of tune with the boss or praised when you sing the boss’s tunes without failure.
Politics is a game of experiment. There is no mistake in politics. All is a fair game, to be….or not to be. Those who chose to be, have gone into books of history. Those who have chosen not to be, have also gone into books of history. The list in history books is endless but let’s remember these few scenarios.
In 2002, Mudavadi followed Moi. He became vice president his of duration serving not withstanding. In 2003, Kijana Wamalwa followed Kibaki, he became vice president, death and time not withstanding. In 2003 upon the death of Wamalwa Kijana, Uncle Moody Awori followed Kibaki and became Vice president.
In 2007/8 Kalonzo followed Kibaki, he became vice president. During the same time, Wetangula refused to follow Raila and he became minister of foreign affairs. In 2013 and 2017, William Ruto, followed Uhuru and became deputy president. These are some of the scenarios and true statements of people who refused to be used like stones in the Raila’s building backyard.
Mudavadi’s new water logic on current politics in and out of Mulembe nation and the county at large, is the best option he can make in his political career. Raila remains a happy man when he knows that he has Mudavadi and Wetangula as building stones in his backyard. He can choose to use them when he choses.
He sleeps and feels comfortable because he is assured that he will use them at the right time to build his 2022 house of cards. The resistance they are putting to Raila is a good signature for Luhya politics, it’s a case of liberation, resistance, exploration and just like water, when you pour it on the surface, it will go to find new territories, it will not resist movement, it will attempt to conquer new lands.
The difference between Raila’s politics of rock logic and Mudavadi’s new politics of water logic in the current state of politics, is a test that comes between the two buddies, who have moved this country into near and possible change of government when they worked together.
Without Mudavadi in Raila’s political backyard, excellent examples are there to study. Raila will always be beaten hands down in any political contest without the backing of Musalia Mudavadi. This is a fact.
If we look at 2007 when Musalia was a horsepower and the thinking actor in the mind of the driver, Raila won the election and what happened was his own fishing and finishing mistakes.
If we study patterns of 2013, when Musalia went on his own and left the stone backyard, Raila was beaten hands down, he lacked political prowess and agility, he lacked horsepower and the thinking actor within the driver’s mind. He lost to Uhuru. This a fact.
If we concentrate on the happenings of 2017, then you will agree that, Musalia effect, Musalia power, Musalia horsepower, mobilised and immobilised Jubilee government. Uhuru was beaten hands down, but as usual, Raila’s weakness in finishing the game was evident. He, as usual, or like 2007, he slept on the job, chose to focus on other flowery things, and blamed imaginary clouds.
In conclusion, Raila will not make it without Musalia Mudavadi in the current competitive politics. He has made too many opponents. His rock logic will not work anywhere in this politics and especially for competitive power politics. Musalia’s water logic of exploration at the moment, just like others in the previous years, will help him ascend to power as Raila watches.
The bottle necks, in the name of Atwoli, Eugene Wamalwa and Oparanya, who have chosen to become Raila’s building stones in Raila’s 2022 backyard will not match the water logic of Musalia Mudavadi who has decided to explore the surface. The end justify means or the means justify the ends. But water logic wins all the time.
