Raila might work with Ruto due to Mudavadi, Moi, Wetangula, and Kalanzo teaming-up.

Following their newfound alliance, ANC party leader Mudavadi, the Wiper party leader Kalonzo, Kanu party leader Moi, and Ford Kenya party leader Wetangula shocks are being felt within the ODM party going by ODM’s recent remarks about the alliance. It has always been the ODM leader’s idea to craft alliances or seek coalitions for his own political agenda.

In the past, he has set up coalitions by bringing other leaders together to support his bid. But that strategy seems to be employed against him by the leaders who have supported him in the past. They are now coming together to chart their own political agenda far from Raila Amolo Odinga. The new alliance in town is proving to be an uncomfortable bed for the ODM leader.

It will be impossible for him to run as an individual without the support of other leaders who include their community. Selling Raila Odinga in Luhya without Mudavadi or Wetangula is an infertile concept and the same appears true for Ukambani and Rift valley. This is the gospel truth but according to ODM’s arrogance, they have dismissed the alliance without observing final political ramifications.

The Outcome of this alliance will be hectic for ODM, and some insiders intimate that the alliance has forced Raila Odinga to go slow on Dr. William Ruto. He might have a refuge in Dr. William Ruto’s hustler movement narrative. It is this unsaid reason that has caused the ODM leader to speak from the deep sea and was quoted in the press warning members of parliament from criminalizing the hustler movement narrative. How could he possibly do that? How? You will recall a few months ago, the ODM leader condemned the hustler narrative. What is happening? Or what has changed.

Political pundits opine that the Mudavadi Kalonzo ticket will easily sail through, it will definitely quell the high stake voltage political temperatures in the country. The ticket will easily bring Joho and Kingi on board and that will be good because selling it across the country, Kenyans will join in easily, and forming the government will not be impossible.

The Mudavadi Kalonzo movement has caused jitters in the ODM camp because at this particular moment Raila is not certain of Uhurus’s backing in the 2022 election. President Uhuru has not declared whether he is for Raila or not. We only know that he has declared that he will not support Dr. Ruto. There are many political factors surrounding 2022 succession politics and for sure, William Ruto expected Uhuru to back him, Raila expected Uhuru will back him but that is not forthcoming.

At the finish of BBi and probably passing the referendum by the people of Kenya, the 2022 battle will be opened, and forming alliances is very important. It will be impossible for any candidate to go without other candidates. So the new alliance of Musalia/Kalanzo/ Gideon and Wetangula is informed by the future events that many political actors have not seen.
