Lupita Nyong’o daughter of Kenya’s Kisumu county governor Prof Peter Anyang Nyong’o has laughed at the tourism minister Najib Balala for claiming that the government through the ministry of tourism tried looking for her to be the tourism ambassador in vain.
Last week, the ministry unveiled Naumi Campbell as the country’s goodwill ambassador in marketing Kenya as a tourist destination. This move kept Kenyans talking and wondering why the ministry did not consider Lupita for the job considering that she is one of our best export into the movie industry in the USA.
CS Balala said that Lupita was too busy to be engaged and besides the ministry has been looking for the Hollywood star for the past five years with no success.
Lupita has been ‘inaccessible’ for five years” CS Balala said and added that Naomi Campbell accepted to be Magical Kenya’s international ambassador for free because of her love and commitment to Kenya.
