Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has declared his interest for the Nyali Constituency Seat come 2022.
The Governor hinted at running for MP in 2022, so as to increase his chances of getting into Cabinet if the BBI amendments are passed.
Governor Joho has a long running battle with the current MP Mohammad Ali Jicho Pevu.
In 2017 Mohammed Ali was frustrated by Governor Hassan Joho and ODM Party, hence decamping and running as an independent candidate winning it against Joho’s brother Said Abdala.
