Political alignments in readiness for 2022 are taking shape. Politicians are strategically positioning themselves for a stab at the presidency and other elective seats in 2022.
Anc Party is not left behind in this noble endeavor and Nairobi county is a blaze with team Mudavadi staking its bid higher.
A youthful city businessman Mr. Brian Mulama is the man leading the orchestra here in Nairobi.
www.goodmorningkenya.com caught up with Hon Brian Mulama at his city office and sought to get a glimpse of what is in the pipeline.
Who is Brian Mulama?
‘’Brian Mulama is a husband, a father, a city businessman, and above all a politician who is fully propagating a Mudavadi presidency come 2022. I am also the Nairobi county youth league chairman here in Nairobi’’ Mulama opens up.
The cool, calm, and collected politician is a man who has seen it all in his political journey. In 2017, Mulama vied for Harambee ward MCA and came close to clinching the seat which is currently held by a Jubilee member.
‘’ In 2017 I vied for the Harambee ward Mca seat and by God’s grace, I received immense support from the people which humbled me immensely. Running on ANC party gave the voters a new breath of life a departure from the usual confrontational brand witnessed in the past by the two main protagonists ie Jubilee and ODM’’ added Mulama.
In Nairobi County, Mulama made a record as the highest runner up losing by a paltry 300 votes. As a politician, Mulama has never taken a break from serving his people thus keeping in touch with the grassroots.
Awakening Nairobi county for Mudavadi.
Mr.Mulama has taken it upon himself to help spread the ANC party tentacles across the Nairobi county.
”It doesn’t amuse me when I realize that as a party we did not deliver any seat to the party here in the city. Our party boss Hon Mudavadi was busy pushing the Nasa agenda on the national front it was therefore incumbent upon us to deliver but we failed which has now ignited a new fire in me to help turn things around. We are on fire and in 2022 we are set to deliver several MPs and MCas here in the city.
To embark on his journey of ensuring that Nairobi turns luminous green( with ANC party colors)Mr. Mulama has termed up with other youthful and passionate leaders to ensure the Makadara sub-county has a functional party office something that has had a ripple effect across all the 17 sub-counties.
Is Brian Mulama eyeing the ANC Nairobi county chairmanship?
During the Kibra by-elections where ANC sponsored Eliud Owalo, Mr. Mulama was conspicuously present and running strings in a bid to ensure ANC trounces. Unfortunately, ANC lost but did not go down without a fight, it gave a good account of itself in the city especially taking on both Jubilee and ODM who were fronting Hon Imran Okoth the eventual winner.
‘’ The Kibra by-elections was an eye-opener, we took so many lessons home but besides the fact that we didn’t perform well, we realized that with the right strategy we can achieve a lot here in the city. Whether I want to be the Nairobi county chairman, when duty calls I cannot afford to say No. My primary intention is to serve my party ANC and ensure our party leader Hon Mudavadi becomes the 5th president of Kenya’’ says Mulama.
Mulama has solidified his base in the city besides ensuring the once dormant youth league in the city is not only active but visible on many fronts.
Mulama to take on Hon Aladwa for the Makadara seat in 2022
Brian Mulama has become the official ANC/Mudavadi defender every Saturday on Radio Jambo.
A week ago while on air, a hot argument ensued between Mulama and Hon Aladwa where the youthful ANC politician declared that he will be flying the ANC flag in Makadara constituency.
‘’ Makadara constituency has a history of not re-electing its MPs and even if it had, I believe time is now ripe for a youthful politician like myself to take the mantle. I do hereby invite my brother Hon Aladwa for a grueling duel which eventually I will prevail and become the first ANC Mp in Makadara’’ said Mulama amid chants of wewe bado! Wewe bado! From Hon Aladwa.
On the BBI debate, Mulama has been on the forefront not only supporting the document but propounding ANC’s ideals and views.
This week he led the Nairobi youths league in endorsing the document by appending his signature at the ANC party headquarters as his party boss looked on.
Is Mulama the savior that ANC Nairobi county and Makadara county direly need? Time will tell.
