“We Will not open BBI report for new ideas but only minor corrections” Raila says

Raila slams the door on the face of those seeking ammendments on the BBI report.

This comes at the backdrop of heightened agitations by several groups seeking to have a window opened to allow for what is termed as “inclusivity”.

In a span of seven days, Raila and Uhuru have met several opinion shapers with an aim of striking a compromise.

Before Uhuru flew outside the country to the Vatican/Italy, it is believed that the head of state met Hon Raila, Hon Mudavadi and Ford Kenya boss sen Wetangula over the issue.

The import of this saw Lugari Mp Hon Savula who is a close ally of Hon Mudavadi address a press conference and reassured the nation of Anc’s tatal support.
“Our party leader has given us a greenlight to fully support BBI after the issues he raised over BBI were agreed to be accomodated” Savula said.

To further expand the BBI tent  in a bid to accomodate dissenting voices, Hon Raila met leaders from the pastoralists communities and after the meeting, the leaders changed their hard line stance and agreed to support BBI.

In a sudden turn of events, the Odm leader has taken to his twitter handle to pour cold water on those agitating for an avenue through which all views could find their way into BBI.
” There is significantly little chance of significant new ideas being brought into the BBI document ahead of the referendum, except for editorial work to make it explicit on demands by various groups where it sounds vague or general, as is the case with the issues of pastoralists.
It is basically done and there is little likelihood that new ideas will be pushed into it. However, there are groups that feel their views were not captured in the manner they were presented during the collection of views and those are the corrections we are promising to make.” Raila said.
