Grisly tragic train lorry accident at Kware near Donlhom.

Is it lack of road knowledge, ignorance, or sheer stupidity! How do you pull a stop in the middle of the railway line? How do you explain such a tragic occurrence?

Today early morning, one man is left dead as the train rams into a still lorry. The lorry that was heading to Donlhom, met its sudden death as the oncoming train that was heading to Embakasi village to pick Kenyans cut through the lorry. The turnboy managed to escape unhurt as he jumped from the still lorry leaving the driver dead.

The intersection at the cereal board has become a black spot as in hurry motorists are not observing the oncoming danger, many motorists don’t give a distance, as everyone is in a rush to start or finish his business in the city. Today’s tragic accident hopefully will serve as a lesson to road users who don’t respect road usage.

But again, Kenya railway should shoulder the blame for it has not marked that spot as accident-prone. If you pass that area, there are no signs of a possible oncoming train so new road users will not be conscious of the possible danger. Witnesses blame the lorry drive and traffic police at the Donlhom intersections who are not cognizant of the pending danger a few steps from Donlhom station.
