Kakamega Senator laughs off the Magharibi movement presser on BBI as he calls on Mulembe youths to follow the direction given by Mudavadi and Wetangula.

Maverick youthful Kakamega senator Hon Cleophas Malala has once again laughed off at his colleagues Hon Amisi, Hon Osotsi and Odm sg Hon Sifuna in their latest outburst over BBI.

Yesterday during a press briefing, a group calling itself Magharibi Youths Movement composed of mainly Odm leaning Mps save for Hon Osotsi had issued a press statement with a thin veiled attack on Anc”s party boss Hon Mudavadi.

In their brief statement, the leaders poured cold water on Mudavadi’s speech at Bomas in which he had asked for a sober debate on BBI devoid of name calling and antagonistic approaches which will be defeating the very tennets that BBI seeks to address.

Magharibi youth movement led by Hon Caleb Amisi.

The leaders led by MPs Caleb Amisi (Saboti), Godfrey Osotsi (nominated) and ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna said the window to give views is long gone and it is now time to move to the next step.

“Policy issues should be taken to the cabinet, legislative ones to Parliament while those touching on the Constitution should be taken to the people through a referendum,” Osotsi said.

The leaders were apparently responding to calls by Deputy President William Ruto and Hon Mudavadi to have sections of the document relooked with the aim of increasing its acceptability.

Ruto and Mudavadi on Monday expressed his reservations about the BBI report in its current form, calling for a review to reflect the needs of all Kenyans.

They said the proposal on the establishment of the office of  Ombudsman, which will be appointed by the Executive is a derogation of the independence of the Judiciary.

They said that this might take the country back to the dark days, where the president used to issue guidelines to judges in some cases via a mere phone call

But in a swift rejoinder, the Kakamega senator Hon Malala has called on his colleagues to read through and understand why the report was released to the public. Malala further wondered why an Odm outfit would seek to advice the Mulembe youths on such a matter of national importance.

Two weeks ago, Sen Malala had poured cold water on the launch of the Magharibi movement which identified Babu Owino as its spokesperson despite the fact that Hon Babu Owino is a legislator in Nairobi.

“Mulembe youth movement is growing stronger by the flip of the calendar. Today a lobby group by the name ODM magharibi youths movement was launched. I urge all other parties within the mulembe Nation to follow suit

As the overall spokesperson of the Movement,I will work with all like minded leaders.Once again congratulations ODM magharibi lobby group led by @BabuOwino1 and @ImranOkoth bt now allow the youth of mulembe to plan their political journey without influence from outsider”

The Kakamega senator has vowed never to allow anybody mislead the Mulembe youths and will excercise his mandate as the Mulembe youths spokesperson speak and give direction on matters Mulembe youths.

Ever since he mended fences with the ANC party boss during a requem mass of the late Church of God leader Bishop Byrum Okech, the Kakamega senator has become the darling of Mulembe youths and he now commands a fanatical following in the former western province region.
