Moticho Ward MCA Evans Mokoro accuses South Mugirango MP. Silvanus Osoro of assault.
The Mca Mr Evans MoKoro was seen at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital receiving treatment. He accused the Mr Osoro of assaulting him on sunday at Nyamarambe Catholic Church in Kisii County. He narrated how they attended the church together before being attacked.
He said after the church the legislator and his supporters surrounded him descended on him with blows and kicks. He said they beat him and actually he suffered broken ribs. ”Osoro demanded to know as to why I have been abusing him after which his bodyguard and other supporters joined in beating me up without any provocation from my side,” a fearful Mokoro said.
Sadly Mr. Osoro has since denied the allegations terming them as acts of mapepo yake. Though he admits they attended the said function together. He further said ” It is true that Mokoro has been abusing me in various public functions and in Radio Stations but I am not behind his beating or was I nearby when he was attacked.”
Police have since launched investigation into the matter.
