The SRC has stated it will review SALARY of public officers including that of the president before 2022.

The new pay is supposed to take effect one year before the next General election. Salaries and Renumeration Commission SRC has stated. This process opens a window for lobbying for higher perks by mps, Mcas, cabinet secretaries and Judges from July next year.

The commission expects an upward review in the pay to accommodate inflation and 2017 pay cuts. SRC is constitutionally mandated to review the salaries after every fours.

The new salaries that is meant to last upto 2025 will touch on Attorney general, principal secretaries, Chief of the defense forces, Military service Commanders, heads of constitutional bodies and heads of police.
