Today the Govornor of Kakamega County Wycliffe Oparanya held talks with Eric Zurin the C.EO of Shanta Mining Company on matters gold mining in Kakamega. The governor said that ” Kakamega is blessed with minerals like gold that if well utilized can boost the economy of the County”
The Shanta gold mining company is based in London and is interested in gold venture activities in Kakamega.
The governor futhred said, National Government in partnership with Kakamega county administration is in the process of constructing a gold process factory in Ikolomani for economic growth of the County.
