Governor Mandago: Work on 64 stadium to begin.

Governor Jackson Kiplagat Mandago yesterday said that the county has finalised the designing, costing and timelines for the construction of 64 Stadium.

The governor said, ” the Tender will soon be floated in accordance to the PPRA regulations for qualified bidders to forward their bids”

He also said the facility will cost an average of Ksh 1B and have a sitting capacity of more than 22,000 people, spacious offices, parking, FIFA standard football pitch and IAAF approved running track.

Finally the ground breaking will happen between October and November later this year. The construction will take between 16 and 18 months and since funds are available, the stadium will be unveiled in early 2022.
