Here is why CAF banned Nyayo and Kasarani stadia.

Nyayo, Kasarani in CAF ban list of 23 stadia.

Kenya’s Moi International Sports Complex Kasarani Stadium and Nyayo National Stadium are among the 23 stadiums across Africa that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has banned “for not meeting the required standards to host CAF A Type competitions”.

This means that Kenya has no stadium that can host any international matches.

The Stadiums in Kenya have been banned alongside others for what CAF has termed failure to meet the required standards to host CAF A Type competition.

CAF has instructed the countries to bring their stadiums up to international standards. Nyayo was recently upgraded with a massive renovation, re-grassing and installation of seats.

The Natonal teams Harambee stars and Harambee starlets will have to seek alternative venues outside the country to host their home matches.
