Waiguru’s impeachment motion to be tabled today as 24/33 Mca’s spend the night in the county Assembly

Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru’s goose is cooked and it is likely to be served today.

The governor has been facing a number of corruption allegations on how she has running the county government of Kirinyaga.

Earlier attempts to impeach her were thwarted by Jubilee’s secretary general Hon Raphael Tuju but as things turn now, that seems to have been a temporal reprieve.

Today, 24 out of 33 Kirinyaga MCAs spent the night at the Assembly ahead of Governor Waiguru’s impeachment motion today over graft and abuse of office allegations.

“We decided to spend the night here at the assembly after we got wind that Hon Waiguru had hatched a plan with the county commissioner to have most of us under house arrest to cause a quorum hitch. As things stand now we have outsmarted her and the business at the assembly today will be transacted which is the moving of an impeachment motion” one Mca was quoted.

Governor Waiguru has been frequenting Raila’s capital hill offices to ostensibly try and cleanse herself from corruption allegations. Waiguru is proponent of BBI and handshake and Kenyans are waiting with abated bteath how the senate will vote on her issue should it find its way to the senate.

Last week, CS for interior Karanja Kibicho was heckled by residents who misjudged his visit as an attempt to save the embattled governor from impeachment.

The impeachment motion against Hon Waiguru will be tabled today
