Kirinyaga deputy governor Peter Ndambiri calls for calm as he lashes at those who planned Dr. Kibicho heckling in the county.
10 Kirinyaga Mcas to face disciplinary action for defyng Hon Tuju the Secretary general of Jubilee party. This comes amid calls by the deputy governor on all elected leaders in the county to calm down and avoid unnecessary political confrontations.
He said this when he distributedted food to 35 members of the Episcopal church in the county. Mr Peter Ndambiri said that, the amount of energy spent on insulting each other should be converted into positive energies to help wanainchi realize solutions to challenges facing them.
The deputy governor’s call come at a time the county is torn between those who support the governor vs those who oppose her. This division of leaders is not healthy for the county, the deputy governor said. He asked all elected leaders to work together and accord respect to those who are in government offices whether elected or otherwise.
This was in reference to paid up youths who were mobilised to disrupt and heckle Mr Kibicho who had visited the county to check on the progress government’s project in the county.
” If our Interior Principal Secretary, Dr. Karanja Kibicho or his Infrastructure colleague, Prof. Mwangi Maringa comes around to launch or inspect national projects in the area, they are doing so on behalf of the Head of State who appointed them in these positions,” the deputy governor saod.
He summed up by a saying ” using hired youths to insult Dr. Kibicho who has every right to visit the area in his official capacity and as his home county is unacceptable and ridiculous” There has been a strong standoff between the current governor and Mr. Kibicho
