As the country grapples with Covid -19 pandemic , families have been affected across the county forcing good samaritans to come on board to help these communities mitigate the covid challenges.
Food has become a top priority for all families in the country. Fres Ikana, through Ikana Food Aid drive has been one of the concepts in the Shinyalu constituency that has stepped in to alleviate pain of families, orphans and widows who have suffered due to effects of covid 19.
The Ikana food intiative has made food donations in Shinyalu constituency courtesy of Fred Ikana, the patron Ikana Maendeleo Initiative. Mr Ikana believes that together we can sort our problems collectively but as an individual, surmounting these problems becomes a huge mountain.
More than 200 families have received food, household essentials since the begining of the pandemic through the intiative which has targeted all communities in the villages the lates such being muslim community in the Shinyalu constituency who marked Eid Eid celebrations the other day.
The philanthropic leader Mr. Fred Ikana toured villages of Isukha East and North wards distributing food stuffs and goodies to Muslim faithfuls.
While undertaking this noble function Mr. Fred Ikana told the constituents of these villages to observe directives issued by the ministry of health in order to curb the deadly pandemic and to ease the the virus across the villages.
He said, defeating this killer disease is simple ” follow instructions issued by the government, wash hands, sanitise and keep social distance. Wear masks if you are in public places” said Ikana.
He told residents that, I will walk with you in this journey, I will stand with you in developing our villages, and I will do my best to inspire the communities here to embrace development.
The Muslim community was happy as they said, thank you Mr Fred Ikana, may God bless you in your endeavours as you work to sort problems affecting people in the villages, we pray God to bless you more.
