Sarai Bateman FIFA Chief Women’s Football Officer : Mwendwa has done good for women football.

FIFA Chief Women’s Football Officer Sarai Bateman, has commended FKF President Nick Mwendwa for his utmost support of women’s football in the country.

The current regime re-introduced the FKF Women Premier League and Division One Leagues, in 2016, to give life to Harambee Starlets, which had no voice in the past.

FIFA in conjunction with the Federation set up a pilot project for women football development that conducted a series of coaching courses that kicked off in Mombasa for grass root coaches and sports teachers from the Coast region.

The program was thereafter activated in Nairobi before Kisumu and Meru successfully hosted the final phase, with participants from Nyanza, Western and parts of Rift Valley taking part.

Sarai Bateman expressed her sentiments in regards to FKF President, Nick Mwendwa, actively supporting women’s football.

“It’s rare to find a Federation President actively supporting women’s  football hence the success of the programs we have set up and women’s football  are entirely attributed to FKF President, Nick Mwendwa and General Secretary Barry Otieno,”said Bateman.
