Tanzania minister for justice dies as Opposition Leaders claim Covid 19 numbers death rise to 50

Tanzania’s Minister of Constitutional and Legal Affairs Augustine Philip Mahiga is dead. Hon Mahiga died suddenly aged 72 yrs.

Announcing the demise, President John Pombe Magufuli said the minister succumbed while being rushed to hospital from his Dodoma home.

The minister becomes the second top government official to die in less than 3 weeks.

Not long ago, Hon Gertrude Rwakitare a nominated Mp on CCM died of heart attack after learning that covid 19 cases had been reported in Tanzania.

Opposition leaders in Tanzania are now claiming over 50 people have succumbed to Coronavirus.

Tanzania has 480 confirmed cases of Coronavirus .
