A private security officer is crying for help after contacting covid 19 while on duty at a government quarantine center.
Mr JARED ONYANCHA was on duty as a guard (watchman )at Lenana School when the government brought in people for mandatory quarantine at the facility.
As part of his job, Mr Jared got records of his visitors and showed them the dormitories. As soon as he finished showing them around, , ,he was also forced into mandatory quarantine by virtue of mixing with them. As bad luck would have it, Jared contracted Covid19 because he was exposed to it in line of duty.
Later Jared Onyancha was taken to Kenyatta Teaching and Referral hospital for treatment.
After compliting treatment, Jared was declared corona virus free and he was subsequently discharged on12th April.
Unfortunately Jared is still detained at the facility because he cannot afford to clear his hospital bill worthy kshs 47,000 because of the disease he was forcebly exposed to.
Jared Onyancha is a mere guard who is struggling to make ends meet is unable to raise the bill. Where is justice here? where is the 40b the government set aside.
