Makadara aspirant Antony Waithaka gives sitting MP sleepless nights

Efforts made by Nairobi based charity organisation Antony Waithaka Foundation to guide and facilitate women groups in Nairobi’s Makadara constituency have turned sour grapes to a sitting Member of Parliament from the Capital city giving him sleepless nights.


The legislator is said to be worried after realizing that his main opponent for the seat in the 2022 general elections Antony Waithaka through his foundation, Antony Waithaka Foundation has been guiding and helping women and youth groups in the area to access the Women and youth funds loans from the Government.
Sources close to www.goodmorningkenya.com have indicated that the famously “bully” MP has been protesting to anyone who lends him a listening ear with claims that the Government is ‘fighting’ him by allowing his opponents to help Women and youth groups in the area acquired the various government grants.
The MP has been a worried man and is said to be having sleepless nights since Anto, commonly referred to as ‘Makadara 1’ showed intention to vie for the parliamentary seat.
The city businessman, philanthropist and politician Anto Waithaka has announced his intentions to run for the Makadara parliamentary seat rolling out various empowerment activities across the constituency where women and youth have been major beneficiaries.
Women groups in the constituency have been undergoing training facilitated by the Anthony Waithaka Foundation to enable them acquire various Government loans available to women and youth groups, an opportunity they have largely missed out in the past.

Only last weekend, Waithaka donated playing kits and cash awards to Black Mamba handball team, domiciled in Kaloleni in the city constituency, ahead of their trip to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania to play in the annual East and Central Handball club Championships set to be held from 28th November.
