An afternoon fire has brought untold suffering to residence of Gatina ward in Dagoretti North area.
According to tenants, a family was preparing lunch when a stove exploded razing down a section of the houses.
Response from the Nairobi fire brigade came in late and angry residents responded in kind by hurling stones to the crew. Police had to lob teargas canisters in the air to disperse the rawdy youth.
The inferno has just added more misery to the already suffering populace.
Due to the closure of business all over Nairobi, residents came in numbers and arrested the situation.
However many families will spend the night in the cold unless somethin is done between now and at 7pm
