Aliko Dangote one of the most successful businessman in Africa has come out publicly to announce his Covid-19 status. In a worldwide re tweeted tweet, the African billionaire said,
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly disrupted modern society, affecting our collective health and well-being. And as a global citizen and business leader, I took the COVID-19 test and the result came back NEGATIVE.
He further announced that he has formed CACOVID ( coalition against covid-19) an initiative that he will be leading with other private sector leaders in Nigeria to fight novel Covid-19.
He stated that his goal is to support the ongoing government initiatives with his resources and private sector resources in a bid to curtail the spread Covid-19. He told Nigerians that ” We are in this together and I am optimistic together we will overcome Covid-19.
The generous act has earned him respect and support from many Africans across the globe and in the continent and they have urged him to ask other endowed people across Africa to stand up for other Africans so that together we can contain the pandemic.
