Dagoretti North is a vibrant and hardworking community — a place full of creativity, ambition, and resilience. But beneath that energy lies a growing sense of frustration, born from years of neglect, corruption, and poor governance.
Our neighborhoods are choking under illegal dumpsites that poison our people and pollute our environment. Diseases spread, livelihoods suffer, and yet funds meant for our welfare mysteriously disappear into private pockets.
We have lost lives to reckless transport systems, endured rising insecurity, and watched helplessly as leaders turn a blind eye. This is not the Dagoretti North we deserve.
A Call to Conscience and Courage
Our people deserve dignity, safety, and honest service. We deserve leaders who listen, act, and serve — not those who exploit our pain for personal gain.
2027 must be our moment of truth. It must be the year we say enough is enough.
“We cannot continue to lose lives while others profit from our suffering.”
We must demand the closure of illegal dumpsites. We must push for cleaner environments, safer roads, and accountable policing. And most importantly, we must raise our collective voice — women, youth, and men alike — to demand leadership that serves the people, not itself.
The fact that Dagoretti North is attracting young and energetic leaders ready and willing to serve is a clear manifestation of the enormous human resource potential that we have. This new generation of leaders is an ingredient for growth, prosperity, and sane politics. It is a signal that our community is awakening — and that change is not only possible but inevitable when good people step forward.
Dagoretti North has the potential to lead by example — a model of urban renewal, civic responsibility, and community-driven change. But that dream will only be realized if we, the people, take charge of our destiny.
The power to change our story is in our hands. Let us use it wisely.
