Kenyans Troop to “chang’aa dens” as Bars remain closed in a bid to curb covid 19 virus
Thirsty for a late night drink and all social joints remaining closed as directed by the government, Kenyans trooped to illicit brew sellers popularly called mama pima’s to quench their thirst.
A ride around city slums revealed that Kenyans were turning out in large numbers for the illicit drink. Policemen were overwhelmed considering the fact that police have minimised arrests.
One drunkard was captured on camera praising the illicit brew seller “mama pima”.
On Friday Cs for health ordered thus:
All entertainment areas- bars and night clubs, are to close their doors by 7.30pm everyday effective March 23. Such premises must define the number of people therein to actualize social distancing. Eateries can continue provided they maintain social distancing health Cs has directed
