End of Nick Mwendwa at FKF! Nyamweya aims at a comeback.

The ruling by the sports disputes tribunal has kicked off a debate on the future of Kenyas football as hard questions are being asked on Mwendwa’s tenure.

The SDT ruling seem to have put the last nail on Nick Mwendwa’s grip on Kenya football and placed Samy Nyamweya on the negotiating table strategically making him a leading contender for the top job. Remember, Nick was Nyamweya’s ball boy and he was in charge of International transfer docket, that was before he horned ambitions to replace him. Working under Nyamweya, he understood many weaknesses, loop holes, and cracks in Nyamweya administration. He capitalised on these issues and bounced himself into the top leadership. The IT guru danced his way to the presidency on the promise of change and dishing out money which made his opponents to fall by the wayside.

The more things change, the more they remain the same.Since he took over, much has not changed, his style has not made much difference, what he promised has not matched expectations. He seemed to have improved on Nyamweya’s weakness, roped in his own weakness and produced a nicknyam philosophy that has not changed football and player’s welfare.
He cannot claim that he took Harambee to AFCON. This can’t be his legacy Kenya made it to Afcon by God’s grace. We all know a west African nation was disqualified for us to fly to Egypt.
Besides Kenyan taxes were involved and in fact, he is one guy who was funded more than any football president in the country but results are zero.

How will football fraternity move in the wake of the confusion at the federation.

According to summary from the court ruling, Nick Mwendwa and his NEC, their mandate on football management in the country is over. This is the point football fans need to understand. Nick and his troops of NEC, their leadership crumbled on Tuesday. They should pack and go. They have been hanging on a thin string because of the court case.

Nick after assuming power became too comfortable and forgot that football power is donated. Lack of accommodativeness, uniting mentality, developing the sport, ineptitude an ear that failed to listen to all players and stakeholders, dismissing supersport, failing to negotiate with KPL, Nick Mwendwa has shot Kenyan football in the sheen.

It will take years to gain confidence and actually move the game forward. Nick Mwendwa should be held responsible for the mess the game finds itself in. Former Coach Adel is demanding 100,000,000 in compensation from the FKF. Nyamweya hired him, Nick fired hired him under unclear circumstances and his case has gone to court of arbitration where it was ruled FKF to pay him 100M.

The federation doesn’t have this money. The other day, Nyamweya was quoted telling Mwendwa to pay Amurouche from his personal pocket. The situation is bad, leadership crisis, the courts decision is clear, Nick is no longer FKF president. Football lovers should grace themselves for the return of Nyamweya
