Yusuf Haji: I have 843 corruption cases waiting orders of arrest on my desk.

He was speaking at webinar forum which brought together various leaders from different institutions including the national assembly, office of AG, ODPP, IEBC, KNCHR and Transperent international which came together to shade light on possible gains made in complying with Chapter 6 of the Constitution over the last 10 years.

It was through it when office of the DPP revealed it has 834 cases sitting on its table awaiting prosecution. These cases are touching on who is who in the country. They include personalities like, cabinet secretaries, Mps and other state officers. He said that, “if there was a dream for Kenya, that dream is to ensure that we live by the ideals of the Constitution.”

EACC boss Twalib Mbarak said his agency has adopted three strategies to nub and curb corruption in the country. In his limited remark he stated “I wish to assure Kenyans that EACC remains steadfast and committed to the implementation of Chapter 6 of the Constitution. We will remain fair, firm and independent in execution of the responsibility that you have bestowed upon us,”
