Francis Atwoli is my role model Declares NTV’s anchor Ken Mijungu

Mention the name of Cotu Secretary General Dr Francis Atwoli and the first thing that comes to ones mind is an old man with bling bling, expensive watch and phones shouting “shenzi sana” as he dances to rhumba hits of yester years. Well to NTV ‘s side bar host Ken Mijungu, Atwoli is a celebrated Kenyan who speaks his mind and does not shy away from taking a stand however unpopular.

Ken Mijungu’s love for Atwoli has made him never to miss any event on tv that the trade unionist is starring. Although JKL show by Jeff Koinange is hosted on a rival station, those close to Mijungu say that he never misses the show whenever Atwoli is on the bench.

In October last year while being interviewed by Jeff Koinange, Dr Atwoli tossed his iPhone on a live tv show. This act surprised many as the over 200k worthy gadget cracked with Atwoli’s face showing zero emotions of loss.

Last week Atwoli while commenting on the fake arms deal starring Rashid Echesa, Dr Atwoli was at it again this time smashing his iPhone on the ground as stunned members of the fourth estate looked on.

Atwoli was angry at the way Sgt Kenei met his death and wondered why the DCI had not called on the DP to record a statement

Having missed the first challenge on Jkl, Ken Mijungu was not going to let this one pass him.

In a video in our possession, Ken Mijungu who was in the company of his colleagues at NTV Salim Swaleh, Jane Ngoiri and Seth Olale, is seen imitating Dr Atwoli from his body language to accent and eventually the smashing of the iphone as he shouts Shenzi kabisa as his colleagues break into laughter .

Kenyans took to social media demanding to know if Mijungu was okey and how much does his phone cost.
“I do not regret that. It was part of the challenge and we have to live with it. It was an iPhone 8 but I am not sure about the cost, it set me back about Ksh120,000,” Mijungu wrote.

In a sudden turn of event, Dr Atwoli has promised to buy Ken Mijungu a brand new iphone as a thank you gesture for taking part in the challenge.

Ken Mijungu is one of the richest news anchors who owns an executive car hire campany that specializes in hiring of high end cars to the who is who in the society.

It is roumered that his campany was contracted to offer transport to the visiting reggae band UB 40 when they visited early this year. It is also believed Koffi Olomide is being driven around in one of the cars from Ken Mijungu’s yard.

Will Ken Mijungu accept the kind gesture from Atwoli or will he take it and then smash it on the floor terming it ushenzi. Time will tell
